Carney Elected NPPC President



Spencer, IA: (Mar. 08) - An Iowan is the new leader of the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC).
 
Sam Carney, a pork producer from Adair, Iowa, was elected to a one-year term at NPPC’s annual business meeting at the Pork Industry Forum in Kansas City last weekend.
 
For more than 20 years, Carney has served in various pork industry leadership positions, including as President of the Iowa Pork Producers Association. He has served as an NPPC director for the past four years.
 
Carney is owner and operator of Carney Farms, which he runs with his son. They market 4000 hogs annually from their wean to finish operation.
