Spirit Lake police say a routine traffic stop Thursday night lead to drug charges. They say a car driven by 29 year old David Nathaniel Moore was stopped for failure to stop at a stop sign. Upon further investigation, including the help of the Spirit Lake K-9 unit, a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana was found in the car.
Moore was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possion of drug paraphernalia, failure to obey a stop sign, and operation of a motor vehicle without insurance.
He was book into the Dickinson County jail.
