Wills Running for House

Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)–A Sibley native is running for the Iowa House District 1 seat.

John Wills grew up in Sibley, worked in Spirit Lake for a total of 15 years, lived in Rock Rapids, has 25 years in the military , and currently serves as Vice President of the Okoboji Protective Association.

Wills tells KICD News he doesn’t see himself as a career politician and would like to keep things moving forward in the right direction.

The Iowa House District 1 seat is currently filled by Jeff Smith, who has said he does not plan to run for re-election.  WIlls will face off against Kevin Wolfswinkel and Kevin Klaassen in the Republican Primary on June 3rd.
