Veridian & Eco-Sense Manufacturing Deal

Spencer, IA (KICD)–The Spencer City Council this week approved an over $29,000 forgivable loan with Veridian Limited to facilitate approximately 21 new “Green” jobs.

Iowa Lakes Corridor President Kathy Evert tells KICD News that Veridian is looking to take over manufacturing for Eco-Sense, Inc., who created a product that uses previously used plastic bottles to make a reusable produce bag.

City Manager Bob Fagen shared his excitement at the council session.

Currently the product is being manufactured in North Carolina. Local manufacturing should be up and running in a few months

The revenue for this project will be coming from EMS revenues that are generated from the landfill.
