Spencer, IA (KICD)–The Spencer School Board received an update on curriculum instruction and professional development at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Consultant Joe Mueting tells KICD News that teachers put in a lot of work behind the scenes.

Mueting says the community should be proud of the teaching in the district.

In other business the list of graduates was approved. 144 students will get their diplomas at commencement on May 22nd.

The board also accepted a $9,000 donation of a theatre stage curtain for the new Fine Arts Center from the Hy-Noon Kiwanis of Spencer.
