Southpark Mall Projects Progressing

Spencer, IA (KICD)– Dunham’s is on track to open in their new location at the Southpark Mall in September.

Mall Manager Kathy Anderson says Dunham’s will now encompass 36,000 square feet of space which is an increase of 11,000.

Anderson noted that Hobby Lobby is currently slated to be open in late February or early March of 2015.

A forgivable loan agreement with the Southpark Mall was approved by the Spencer City Council last evening. The amount of the loan is up to $100,000, consisting of $80,000 in cash and up to $20,000 of in-kind services from SMU. The City has pledged $50,000 of the $80,000 with Clay County and local banks making up the remaining amount.
