Sheldon, IA (KICD) — Two Sheldon businesses are burglarized over the weekend.

Sheldon Police said that sometime during Saturday night or Sunday, Vogel Paint and Glass was broken into. A door was damaged by the suspects, but only $25 in cash was taken. Damage to the door was estimated at $300.

The second break in occurred just after midnight Sunday, at the Verizon Wireless store. A window was broken out to gain entry, and once inside just over $500 was taken from a pair of cash boxes.

The theft investigations are ongoing.
