Purchase Agreement Reached on Spencer Hotel

Spencer, IA (KICD)–A purchase agreement between Boulders Inn and Suites and the Parks Family which paves the way for a hotel by the Clay County Fairgrounds has been completed.
Co-Developer Tim Stuart tells KICD News they are looking to build a hotel to the northwest of the Fairgrounds on the Parks property.

Stuart says the plan now is for a roughly 40-room hotel and they would hope to partner the Spencer Hotel with their Okoboji property.
Clay County Events Center Manager Scott Hallgren says this is a gamechanger.

Clay County Tourism Director Jill Toft says that having a hotel located near the fairgrounds would be a huge asset.

If Boulders is able to obtain the needed investors for the project an April or May groundbreaking is a possibility.  Stuart encouraged any interested investors to get in touch with him with Boulders Inn & Suites
