Publishers Clearing House Scam

Primghar, IA (KICD)–An O’ Brien County resident was recently scammed out of $5,000 by a caller indicating they had won a prize from Publishers Clearing House.”

The caller told the victim  all they had to do was send them $25,000.  The victim sent the funds, but then recalled the check.  The scammer then  phoned the victim back and ended up getting them to send a $5,000 check.
