Ocheyedan River Bridge Replacement

Everly, IA (KICD)–Replacement of the Ocheyedan River Bridge on Highway 18 in Clay County will cause a detour for the foreseeable future.

Clay County Engineer Scott Rinehart tells KICD News that the Iowa DOT project starts next May 27th but there will be a four way stop at the intersection of County Roads B-24 and M-27 for the duration of the project starting a bit sooner.

Rinehart details the traffic detour plans.

Rinehart wanted to make sure those who travel this route are aware of the change after years of getting used to a routine.

The replacement of the Ocheyedan River Bridge on Highway 18 is expected to last through the end of October weather permitting.
