O’Brien County Accident

Primghar, IA (KICD) — A Spencer woman is taken to the hospital after a single vehicle accident.

The O’Brien County Sheriffs Office said the accident happened Wednesday near the intersection of County Road B-40 and 390th Street. 57-year old Cindy Ellenwood was driving a 2002 Chevy SUV east, when she hit a patch of mud or manure that had been drug onto the road.

Ellenwood lost control of the SUV abnd it went backwards into the ditch and through a fence before winding up in a field. She complained of a sore hip, and was taken to the Primghar Hospital. The vehicle sustained $4500 in damage.
