O’Brien County Accident


  Hartley, IA (KICD) — A Hartley woman was injured in a single vehicle accident due to icy conditions.
  The O’Brien County Sheriffs Office said around 11:15 Saturday evening, 54-year old Peggy Tewes was driving a 2000 Dodge van north on Vine Avenue, when she lost control after encoutering ice on the road.  The van went into the west ditch and struck a tree broadside.
  Tewes received minor injuries in the accident but refused an ambulance.  The van received an estimated $2000 in damage and was totalled.
