Wallingford, IA (KICD)–A Tuesday accident south of Wallingford landed a Spirit Lake woman in the hospital.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Michelle Banks missed a curve while heading east on A-34. Her Trailblazer then entered the south ditch and struck a field drive with a wooden culvert around 6:10 a.m.

Banks was taken to Avera Holy Family Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

Estherville, IA (KICD)–Estherville Police have released information into a drug investigation that led to felony charges.

Police received information of ongoing illegal drug activity that was occurring at a garage located at 714 South 10th Street in Estherville in late September. A search warrant turned up Methamphetamine and Marijuana.

32-year-old Ryan Christophel, who was found in the garage, faces a class B felony count of Possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to deliver and class D felony counts of Possession of Marijuana with the intent to deliver and a Drug Tax Stamp Violation.

Estherville, IA (KICD)–Two Estherville men were recently arrested on drug charges.

At approximately 2:20 Monday morning Estherville Police observed a vehicle driving without headlights on. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers could smell an odor consistent with Marijuana coming from the passenger compartment. Police also observed Drug Paraphernalia inside the vehicle. K-9 Max was called on scene and help locate the illegal items.

The driver, 19-year-old Jesse Colhour was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.

As part of the ongoing investigation 24-year-old Cody Brown was arrested on warrants for the same charges on Thursday.
