George, IA (KICD) — A George man was arrested after leading authorities on a chase through two counties.

On Tuesday, 27-year old Joseph Daggett was driving a Monte Carlo and was eluding Osceola County Deputies. The pursuit went thorugh Little Rock, then onto Highway 9, going west. Daggett then went south on County Road L-14 into George, where he then left the vehicle, fleeing on foot. he was arrested in George a short time later.

Osceola County authorities charged Daggett with one count of theft in the 4th Degree, one count of Possession of Prescription Drugs, Eluding, two stop sign violations and reckless driving. Daggett is being held in the Osceola County Jail. Charges are pending in Lyon County while the investigation continues.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–Two South Dakota men face charges after fighting with Storm Lake Police.

An on patrol officer heard two men yelling near the east side of the Kings Pointe Resort shortly after midnight Saturday. 19-year-old Alex Norwick of Pierre allegedly swung at the officer with a closed fist as he was approached. The officer avoided the strike and took Norwick to the ground where he was subdued and taken into custody.

The other man, later identified as 20-year-old Kyle Sarringar of Pierre fled from police on foot and was pursued by a second police officer. Sarringar ran into a cottage and slammed a door on the officer s arm during the pursuit. At that point Sarringar ran through the crowded cottage and fled through a back door. He was later found.

Police charged Sarringar with Interference With Official Acts Causing Injury, Assault on a Police Officer Causing Injury and Possession of Alcohol. Norwick was charged with Possession of Alcohol, Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct and Interference With Official Acts

The officer sustained abrasions to his arm but did not require medical attention.
