Spencer, IA (KICD)–A Spencer man escaped injury after knocking down a few power lines.
A Clay County Deputy stopped a Feed Truck driven by 54-year-old Billy Lewis at 8:00 Thursday morning. The grain auger of his feed truck was hanging over into the oncoming lane of traffic. It was then discovered the auger had caught a power line and was dragging it behind the truck. After further investigation it was determined power lines at M-27/ Highway 18, 1355 Highway 18, and 1410 Highway 18 had been torn from power poles.
No charges were filed.
Estherville, IA (KICD)–A wanted fugitive from Minnesota has been apprehended in Estherville.
26-year-old Garnys Soto, (aka) Garnys Hernandez, was found to be living at a residence in Estherville. She was wanted for Failure to Appear on an original charge of 1st Degree Felony Drug Charges in Minnesota with no bond.
Soto was transported to the Emmet County Jail and booked where she will await extradition proceedings and then be transported to Hennipen County.
