Sibley, IA (KICD)– A Minnesota man has been found guilty of 3rd Degree Burglary and False Imprisonment.

25-year-old Myles Paplow of Rushmore allegedly forced an individual into a room at a residence in Osceola County in February . He then displayed a weapon while in the room, refusing to let the victim leave.

Paplow received a five year suspended prison term and will be placed on probation of three years.

Luverne, MN (KICD) — A Lake Park man is jailed after stealing rolls of fencing.

On Monday, the Rock County Sheriffs Office said 50-year old Kirk Kane was charged with a felony theft along with several other charges. Kane was caught stealing rolls of barbed wire fencing from a fenced in area at the Bomgaars Stre in Luverne, Minnesota, with a value of over $1200.

When deputies arrived on scene, Kane was seen climbing doewn from the fence. Kane got into a pickup and then tried to escape. After a pursuit, Kane was stoppeed and arrested. A total of 18 rolls of barbed wire fencing were found in the pickup.

Kane is currently in the Nobles County Jail and makes an initial court appearance Monday.

Everly, IA (KICD) — A Spencer man is arrested after a traffic stop.

A Clay County Deputy stopped 20-year old Tanner Logan for a traffic violation, and as he approached the vehicle, smelled marijuana. A search then produced marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Drug paraphernalia, as well as Speeding.

Logan was arrested and taken to the Clay County Jail, and is being held to appear before the magistrate.
