Spencer, IA (KICD)–A Hartley woman involved in a string of January locker room thefts at Clay Central Everly High School was arrested after a Saturday evening traffic stop.
A Clay County Deputy spotted a pair of shoes that were similar to a pair that were stolen. Upon a second approach to the vehicle, 18-year-old Kathryn Carroll, had hid the shoes in her boots. She later confessed to stealing the shoes.
Upon further investigation at the jail, it was discovered Carroll was involved the five separate Everly Girls High School locker room thefts including the theft of an IPOD touch, a pair of MissMe Jeans, a pair of Sperry shoes, $70 in cash and $50 cash.
Charges filed include five counts of 5th Degree Theft, Speeding and No Insurance.
Spirit Lake, (KICD)–Drug and driving charges were filed following a Friday evening traffic stop by Spirit Lake Police.
27-year-old Elaine Thiel was found to be driving with a revoked license. A search of her car turned up pot.
Thiel was charges with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, speeding, driving while revoked and failure to surrender plates or registration.
Spencer, IA (KICD)–An incarcerated Spencer woman has been charged in connection to another arrest warrant.
35-year-old Jessica Altenburg was already in the custody of the Clay County Jail last week. She was arrested for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Forgery, a class D felony.
Altenburg was turned over to jail staff for booking and is currently being held on Clay County charges and is being held on a $10,000 cash or surety bond for the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
