Lakefield, MN (KICD) — A Lakefield man is arrested after a traffic stop.
The Jackson County Sheriffs Office said a deputy made a stop of a vehicle near Lakefield due to faulty lights. Upon contact with the driver, 39-year old Christopher Paulson, he was arrested for driving under the influence as it was believed he was driving while under the influence of a controlled substance.
The Sheriff’s Department K-9 Bear was deployed on the vehicle, and approximately 4.3 grams of methamphetamine was found. As a result, Paulson was charged with DWI, Operating a motor vehilcle under the influence of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine
He was jailed, and then released after posting a $15,000 bond.
