Emmetsburg Superintendent Retires

Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)–The Emmetsburg Community School District is on the lookout for a new Superintendent.

John Joynt, a 1976 graduated from Emmetsburg, started working in the district in 1983 and took over as Superintendent in 2005.

Joynt tells KICD News he recently decided to take an early retirement.

The Emmetsburg School Board signed an agreement this week with Jeff Herzberg from the Prairie Lakes Area Education Agency to find a new Superintendent.
