Spencer, IA (KICD)–The Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs started off a string of twenty community conversations at the SCT Playhouse this morning.

DCA Deputy Director Chris Kramer tells KICD News that some of the hot topics included funding for the arts, networking, volunteerism, and having young people more involved.

The DCA community conversations will continue throughout July with a July 30 session scheduled for Orange City. Anyone who would like to contribute their thoughts can visit the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs on the web.
