Bomb Threat Robbers Sentenced

Algona, IA (KICD) — Two men arrested after making a bomb threat to a school before robbing a bank are sentenced.
  In Kossuth County Court this week, 28-year old Seth Garret and 25-year old Stoney Rock Gifford both pled guilty to 1st degree theft, a class C felony, and threat of terrorism, a class D felony.  As a result, both were sentenced to ten years on the theft charge, and 5 years on the terrorism charge, to run consecutively..
  In 2013, the two men called in a bomb threat to Algona schools so they could rob a bank in Fenton.  Both men get credit for 238 days already served, and also had $1750 in fines suspended.  Garrett and Gifford have to pay attorney fees and room and board along with court costs in both cases.

An additional charge of 2nd degree robbery against both Gifford and Garrett was dismissed by the judge..

The sentences are in addition to those the two men face in Webster County, which included fleeing from police, possession of stolen property and carrying weapons.
