Spencer, IA (KICD) — Two from Sibley are arrested after a traffic stop.
Early Saturday morning, a Clay County Deputy pulled over a vehicle on Highway 18, for and equipment violation. The deputy observed some suspicious activity, and upon an investigation, found what’s believed to be methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia and cash.
As a result, Elisa and Gabriel Ultrera were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving under suspension.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–Three face charges following a number of early Saturday morning incidents.
19-year-old Mischalet Fenceroy of Sioux City was charged with OWI after she was seen driving through someone’s lawn after leaving Malarky’s. Police were preparing to release Fenceroy s vehicle to a sober driver, but 43-year-old Nicole Thompson of Chicago was wanted on a Buena Vista County warrant for Interference With Official Acts.
As officers were completing their investigation they found 33-year-old Roberto Gutierrez of Storm Lake in a running vehicle covered in vomit. He was charged with OWI 2nd Offense.
Worthington, MN (KICD) — A man wanted in a Texas murder case is arrested in Worthington.
The Task Force was in Pipestone trying to find Adrian Regalado, who is a suspect in a Garland, Texas. It was found Regalado had been living in Pipestone, and working on a nearby farm. As the investigation continued, agents learned Regalado got a ride to Worthington, and obtained a bus ticket to head to Laredo, Texas Saturday.
After finding Regalado, near the motel, who gave agents a false name, but later confrimed he was Regalado. He was arrested on the charge of giving police a false name. After he was taken to jail, an inventory of his luggage produced a baggie containing a substance believed to be heroin. He was additionally charged with 5th degree possession of a controlled substance.
Texas investigators later spoke with Regalado who confessed in a post Miranda interview he shot and killed the Garland man because of a previous drug debt.
Estherville, IA A former nusring home worker faces charges for stealing resident’s prescription drugs.
According to Emmet County court records, Minny Adkins faces three charges of prohibited acts, of which two are class D felonies. It’s alleged that while Adkins was working at Good Samaritan Society in Estherville, she had taken oxycodone, tramadol and Tylenol with Codene from residents on three different occasions.
She was arrested on Tuesday, and released.Wednesday. She has a scheduled court appearance August 28th.
Rolfe, IA (KICD) — A Rolfe couple have been arrested after calling a false burglary.
On July 31st, the Pocahontas County Sheriffs Office took a report of a burglary, at the residence of Michael and Stacy Helvik. The couple claimed saddles and registration papers for several horses had been stolen.
On Sunday, the sheriffs office executed a search warrant at the residence, and found several of the reportedly stolen items, along with a small amount of marijuana. Both were charged with giving false information to a peace officer, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Michael Helvik also received two counts of obstruction prosecution, while Stacy received one charge of the same.
