Spencer, IA (KICD) — Two were arrested after a Highway 18 traffic stop.
Early Saturday morning, a Clay County Deputy stopped a vehicle for a violation, in the 3300 block of Highway 18. The deputy found the driver, 25-year od Kevin Vail of Spencer had a barred drivers license, and he was arrested.
A passenger, 37-year old Gabriel Sanculi of Ruthven had a warrant out of Webster County. He was also arrested. Vail was charged with Driving While Barred and 4 other charges. Sanculi was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD) — Two are arrested after shooting off fireworks.
Early Monday morning, a Storm Lake Police officer detected fireworks being shot off near the intersection of East 2nd and Irving Streets. An investigation found a fireworks block that had discharged 300 fireworks shots sitting in the intersection.
Police made contact with 29-year old Marvin Moua, and 31-year old Lao Moua, both of Storm Lake. Evidence found that connected them to the fireworks. Both were arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Interference With Official Acts and were jailed.
Spencer, IA (KICD) — A Ruthven man is jailed after a traffic stop.
Saturday afternoon, a Clay County Sheriffs Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation, at the intersection of M-50 and Highway 18. A search of the vehicle, resulted in the arrest of 19-year old Jayson Titus on charges of Possession Of A Controlled Substance, and Drug Paraphernalia. He’s being held in the Clay County Jail.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD) — A Bagley man is arrested and held after a felony charge.
Around 1:11 Sunday morning, Storm Lake Police were dispatched to the area of Puff’s Bar on a report that a vehicle had driven over the yard and continued north.
Police located and stopped the vehicle, and talked with the driver, 29-year old Julio Cesar Rodriguez-Segoviano. It’s alleged that he was intoxicated, then was charged with 3rd offense OWI, a class D felony.along with Driving While Suspended, and Open Container.
He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail. He was held without bond as the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) placed a hold on him reporting he has been previously deported from the US.
A passenger, 39-year old Oscar Ernesto Almaraz, of Storm Lake, was also arrested and charged with Open Container, and was jailed.
