Brantley Gilbert jokes that he thinks his record label and management are out to kill him. And if you saw his schedule for Memorial Day weekend, you might think he’s serious.

The country music star will be attending the Indianapolis 500 race on May 25 — then hop a flight in Charlotte to perform for the Sprint Cup race that night.

The Indy appearance is part of the sponsorship of 19-year-old Sage Karam, whose car has Gilbert’s image plastered on it.

The Charlotte gig is to do a pre-race concert. He will also have his likeness on the Chevy driven by Jamie McMurray for the Sprint Cup race.
