 Grand Avenue Neighborhood Picnic:
The annual Grand Avenue Neighborhood Picnic will be held Thursday night, May 23^rd at 6pm at North Park.  A picnic supper will be provided by the Grand Avenue Improvement Corporation.  Children are welcome.

This Week at the Spencer Area Activity Center:
Monday:  Bridge, Nickel Bingo, Crafts, and two exercise classes.
Tuesday:  Pitch, 500, and dominoes.
Wednesday:  Gin rummy, pass 4 pinochle, and wii bowling.
Thursday:  Bridge and two exercise classes.
Friday:  Pass Pinochle.

This month at the Spencer Library:
Monday, May 20^th:  Baby Storytime at 6:30pm.
Tuesday, May 21^st:  Music Storytime at 10:30am.
Saturday, May 25^th:  Anime Club at noon.

Monday-Thursday:  9am-8pm

Lake Park Electricity Off:
There will be a schedule power outage in Lake Park for utility maintenance Monday, May 27^th at 7am.  Some residential customers from West 1^st Street to East 3^rd Street, and North from Avenue B to Avenue C will be affected.

Okoboji Garbage Pickup Schedule:
Twice weekly garbage pickup runs May 20^th through the Monday after Labor Day.  Pickup will be Mondays and Thursdays.  Recycling collection continues only once per week on Mondays.

Spuds N Splits at Webb Methodist:
Webb United Methodist church hosts “Spuds N’ Splits” – a potato bar and build your own banana split supper Wednesday, May 29^th, from 5:30 to 7pm at the church.  A Free will offering will go to send kids to church camp this summer.

Algona Single’s Dance:
The Algona Road Runners Single Club will hold a dance Saturday, May 25^th at the Algona VFW from 8 to midnight.

Estherville Farmer’s Market:
The Estherville Downtown Market runs Thursday evenings from June 13^th through September 5^th from 5pm to 7pm (except July 4^th.)  The Excel! Estherville Arts and Culture Committee will sponsor “Music on the Square” on various evenings.  The seasonal fee to be a vendor is $20 and can be paid at the Estherville Chamber of Commerce.

Greenville/Rossie Reunion:
The Greenville/Rossie Class Reunion is Sunday, June 2^nd at the Royal Community Center.  A potluck dinner will be held at 12:30.  Bring your own tableservice.  Drinks will be furnished.  The classes of 1953 and 1963 will be recognized.  No reservations are necessary.

Memorial Day Services 2013:
Milford:
7am:  Volunteers meets at Milford legion to put up flags.
11am:  Memorial Day Program with key note speaker Retired General Neal Christensen.
3:30:  Volunteers meet at Milford Legion to pick up  flags.
Ruthven:  Program begins at 9:40am at the Ruthven Legion Hall will a procession to Crown Hill Cemetery at 10:45am.
