 Arts on Grand:

The current exhibit at Arts on Grand is an 18 piece collection of 3-D paintings by Dick Termes called “Termespheres.”  The collection will on display until July 6th.

Graettinger 4-H breakfast:

The Pirates 4_h club will host an omelet breakfast Sunday, June 16th from 8-11am at the Catholic Church Parish Center in Graettinger.  There will be a free will offering that will go toward community projects.

Touch of Broadway
Touch of Broadway will perform at the Sioux Rapids Historical Theatre on Thursday, June 13th at 7:30pm during Iowa Museum Week. Admission is a free will donation.

Style Show Luncheon:

Okoboji Christian Women will host their June Style Show Wednesday, June 19th at the Intersect Building in Arnolds Park.  A catered meal will be served for $9.  For your reservation phone Mona at 712-362-4554.

Clay Central Everly Girl Scouts:

The public is invited to the annual Clay Central Everly Girl Scout award ceremony.  It will be held at 2pm, Saturday June 22nd at the Royal Community Center.

Ayreshire Methodist Meal:

The Ayrshire United Methodist Chruch will host a Loose Meat Sandwich supper featuring home made ice cream and pies on Sunday, June 23rd from 4 to 6:30pm.  A free will offering will be accepted.

150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg
Dick Gilmore will present a program on the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg on Thursday, June 27th at 7L00pm at the Sioux Rapids Historical Theatre.
All are welcome.

Spencer Area Activity Center Weekly Schedule:

Monday:  Bridge, Nickel Bingo, Craft class, and Exercise.

Tuesday:  Pitch, 500, and dominoes.

Wednesday:  Gin rummy, pass 4 pinochle, and wii bowling.

Thursday:  Bridge and two exercise classes.

Friday:  Pass Pinochle.

          Monday-Thursday:  9am-8pm

          Friday and Saturday:  9am-5pm

Estherville Farmer’s Market:

The Estherville Downtown Market runs Thursday evenings from June 13th through September 5th from 5pm to 7pm (except July 4th.)  The Excel! Estherville Arts and Culture Committee will sponsor “Music on the Square” on various evenings.  The seasonal fee to be a vendor is $20 and can be paid at the Estherville Chamber of Commerce.

Summer Archery Shoots:

The Buckridge Bow Hunters will host archery shoots at their grounds near Fostoria on the following weekends:

June 15th and 16th; July 20th and 21st; and September 1st and 2nd.

The full 25-year run of "The Simpsons" will arrive on cable channel FXX with a summer marathon, to be paired this fall with a digital extravaganza that could turn other TV shows yellow with envy. "I'm not going to over-promise, but I think this website will provide you with affordable health care," longtime "Simpsons" executive producer Al Jean told a TV critics' meeting Monday, July 21, 2014.

The recent marathon of all 552 episodes of "The Simpsons" inspired us to sit down and come up with our 10 favorite episodes. Enjoy!

Charges dropped against Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s suspected drug dealer

Drug-selling charges against a friend of late film star Philip Seymour Hoffman have been dropped after officers neglected to read the suspect his Miranda rights.
