KICD Tractor Ride

KICD Antique Tractor Ride heads to Algona!

KICD  has been organizing this annual “trek on tractors” since 2000 and it has become a family affair. Riders will be converging from 8 different states at the Kossuth County Fairgrounds in Algona, IA on Thursday, June 6th.  Besides the camaraderie talking with other tractor enthusiasts, traveling down the road at 12mph gives you the opportunity to really “see” what you may have driven past a hundred times.

Just over 200 riders from 8 different states will be hitting the road for this annual ride. On Thursday, June 6th registration will begin at 1:00 pm at the Kossuth County Fairgrounds.

On Friday, June 7th the first tractors will be leaving the fairgrounds at 7:30am. Our morning break will be in Livermore at the Senior Citizens Center. Lunch will be served at the Humboldt County Historical Museum in Dakota City.  We then will head back to Algona with our afternoon break in Bode hosted by the Community Club. Once back in Algona we plan to parade as a group from the fairgrounds through downtown and back to the fairgrounds. On Saturday, June 8th the tractors will leave the fairgrounds at 7:30am again – in the same order they left on Friday. Our morning break will be at Lone Rock with the Community Club. The lunch destination will be at Bob Boland Ford in Bancroft, they will clear the lot for us that day, and our afternoon break hosted by the City of Titonka. The public is invited come look at the tractors and participate in all of the refreshment stops, as they are fund raisers for local community and service organizations.

KICD Antique Tractor Ride sponsors include: Robert’s Carburetor Repair and the Motor Works of Spencer, The Andersons, Arnold Motor Supply, Spencer International, West Bend International, Estherville Implement, Midwest Land Management, MaxYield Cooperative, Bob Boland Ford, Hagedorn Excavating, Cooperative Energy, Jacobsen Hybrid, JB Mertz and Son, Bancroft Implement and Humboldt Red Power.
